SGM46000 is a 3W primary-side transformer driver providing isolated power. The device has an internal oscillator, multiple protection feathers and H-bridge drivers in order to provide 3W of power to the transformer’s primary winding with +5V input.
Either the internal adjustable oscillator or the external clock can drive the device. A fixed duty cycle of 50% will be used to prevent current from flowing in the transformer.
The SGM46000 operates over a wide input voltage range of 2.5V to 5.5V and has multiple protection functions, including under-voltage lockout (UVLO) and thermal shutdown (TSD).
In order to prevent the cross-conduction of the H-bridge MOSFETs, the device is implemented by break-before- make switching.
The SGM46000 is available in Green TDFN-2×3-8BL and SOIC-8 (Exposed Pad) packages. It operates over an ambient temperature range of -40℃ to +125℃.
